Poppy visits the vet

We had to take Poppy to the vet this evening. She’s been sneezing a lot, and there was a bit of nasal discharge and I though she sounded a bit wheezy. They were flat out, so it was well and truly after her bedtime when we took her in.
And being Poppy, there had to be some comedy involved. Pauline had a listen to her lungs (fine), and took her temperature. (If I’d thought of it then, it would have been a perfect time to get her to do her “fluffing” trick.) (Or perhaps not …) Poppy is a pretty easy-going girl and was well behaved – didn’t mind a thermometer being stuck up her cloaca. But about three quarters of the way through waiting you could see it dawn on her that something wasn’t quite right, so she decided that maybe she should preen the area …
You had to be there, I suspect. Just go with me when I say it was funny.
Anyway, she’s on a course of antibiotics for a week, just in case. Her temperature was up, but that’s as likely to be because she’s broody as any other reason.
I just have to chop a tablet into three fifths every morning and evening … argh.
