Laying Summary – March 2014

April 2, 2014 § Leave a comment

Ah, autumn. A race between feathers and leaves to see which can denude its host the fastest. Most of the girls are looking distinctly scruffy, and there is as least as much feather as poo when we muck out in the mornings. And egg production is seriously declining, as you can see:

Eggs Mar 2014

As you can see, our Dorking girls are still going, and are in fact the mainstay of our egg production. Charlotte is again our top layer for the month, with 16 eggs over the thirty-one days. Saffy is close behind on 13, with Gabby and Lily tied for third place on 8 eggs each. Ella managed one intact egg, and Holly three.

Hooray Charlotte, Saffy, Lily, Gabby, Holly and Ella!
