Adelaide’s first egg

And today was the first egg from Adelaide – a lovely peach-tinted 45 g. And she laid it so calmly we didn’t even realise she’d done it. We knew she was close – lots of time watching her mum, and quite a bit of in and out yesterday. We saw that she was missing this morning, and peeped in through the pophole to see her sitting quietly on the nest. Next thing we know, she’s out scritching with the others, so we assumed she was still practising. But no, there it was, with a bit of white fluff stuck to it. Well done Adelaide!
ps – I tried to get a phot of her, but every time she sees me she wants to tuck her head into my armpit … I wonder where she learned that?!
