20th Annual Auction of Rare and Unusual Livestock

Sunday March 9th 2008.

We only made a flying visit to the Rare Breeds Auction this year – there was no way we would be able to buy anything, but we wanted to have a look. Also we thought that we might see some people we had met over the course of our first year as Chicken Slaves (not, as it happened). So as the weather turned unpleasant and the auctioneer ever less audible, we decided to head back to our girls. The following photos should give some sense of the busy-ness of the event (we only photographed a small selection of the poultry on offer).
