Rare Breeds Auction 2009

Yes, it’s that time of year too:

Canterbury Rare Breeds Auction!

Sunday 8th March 2009, l pm start, at Willowbank Wildlife Reserve.
$5 gets you entry and a catalogue.

This year they’re beginning the auction with the Livestock section – horses, cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas etc.

You need to remember to register before the auction starts if you want to bid. And bring a hat and sunscreen – there’s not a lot of shade, and it does get pretty busy. But it’s a great way of seeing the variety of animals that are being bred in the Canterbury district. (Not to mention a chance to begin your own flock/herd …)

See you there!
